Changsha Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Development Co, China's second-biggest maker of concrete pumps, said 2006 profit rose 55 percent as a domestic construction boom spurred demand. Net income climbed to 480.9 million yuan (US$62.1 million) from 310.5 million yuan a year earlier, the company said yesterday in a statement to the Shenzhen stock exchange.
