The Shanghai Oriental Arts Center will present a drama week from April 27 to stage the Chinese musical "Immortality," the Argentine dance drama "Tango Fire," and the Spanish pantomime "Sit" continuously in 10 performances. With a huge budget of 16 million yuan (US$2.05 million), "Immortality" is regarded as the Chinese version of "Lord of the Rings." It is based on the ancient Shu culture relic near Chengdu in Sichuan Province. "Immortality" will also kick off the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival.
