Yesterday was the 8th day of the first month of the Chinese lunar new year. The on-going happiness of the Spring Festival is followed by the approaching Lantern Festival (Yuanxiao Festival) also known as Chinese Valentines Day.

Lantern Festival is on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar.

To celebrate the coming event, many lanterns with riddles have been hung in the plaza in Shipai of Tianhe district. The great sea of red lanterns has attracted many citizens.
