Applicants Cry over Failing at Top Film School

A girl is seen weeping after learning she failed the first round exam to enter the Performance Institute of the Beijing Film Academy. Over 4,000 anxious applicants braved the strong wind on Monday searching for their names on the list of those who passed. 1,519 applicants will go onto the second round, among whom only 30 will be lucky enough to enter the university. The school, the alma mater of actress Xu Jinglei, Vicki Zhao and many other Chinese celebrities, is the dream school for many aspiring performers in search of fame.
