Xiamen Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone

Xiamen Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone (XTHIDZ), founded by the State Science and Technology Commission and Xiamen Municipal Government on December 30, 1990, is a state-level hi-tech industrial development zone approved by the State Department of the People's Republic of China. The target of XTHIDZ is to carry out the national "Torch Plan", to promote the combination of the achievements in scientific research and scientific and technological forces of inland scientific institutions and higher educational institutions and the open policies of the Special Economic Zone, to attract technology and capital form home and abroad, to establish an export-oriented production base formed mainly by hi-tech industrial enterprises in the Chinese-Chinese-foreign model, and realize the commercialization, industrialization and internationalization of high technology.
